Where do we get our wood?
>>
The wood used to make our bats comes from select suppliers and mills located in Maine, Canada and/or upstate New York. These areas are the most abundant sources of quality hardwoods in the United States.
>>
The wood billets used to make the bats are kiln dried to reach their appropriate moisture content as drying promotes the proper weight and density resulting in strength and durability.
>>
The billets we use are inspected for quality and selected for their grain straightness, as the greater the straightness the better the wood, which in turn creates a stronger bat resulting in better game performance.
>>
Our attention to detail and strict wood selection creates precision manufacturing in making the finest quality maple and birch professional quality bats.
>>
Why Wood Bats?
>>
The advent of BBCOR regulations require that metal bats perform the same as wood bats, so why not just use wood bats. Wood bats are generally 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a metal bat, yet they provide the same and, in some cases, better performance than the metal BBCOR bat. They also provide instant feedback as to the proper contact of the ball, develop better swing mechanics, improves power and speed, and gives you a better feel for hitting.
>>
Why Maple and Birch?
>>
Maple is the most popular wood bat used in Major League baseball. Our maple bats are made from rock maple (also known as sugar maple), which is a high density hardwood known for its strength and durability. Our maple bats are Major League grade with both the Grade A Select and Pro Grade hand split billets meeting the ink dot grain test required for bats used in Major League baseball.
>>
Yellow Birch is another strong hardwood and many major leaguers use birch as their wood of choice. Birch has the flex of an ash bat but the durability of a maple bat. It however needs an initial break in period as it gets harder through more use. Just like the maple bats our birch bats are Major League grade with both the Grade A Select and Pro Grade hand split billets meeting the ink dot grain test required for bats used in Major League baseball.

Our Process
>>
The selected wood billet is now ready to be made into a baseball bat. It is lathed and shaped into the specific bat model in the requested length and weight, sanded to perfection, end cupping if requested, and then finished with the specific color and finished with our custom formulated topcoat. It can also be personalized with engraving.
>>
It is then shipped to you ready for its final destination…
Game Day.
